The need to educate the public and constantly make them aware of HIV/AIDS is as great today as it was in the 80s when it was first received worldwide attention. There remains no cure for it and the risks are as high, if not higher, today. Yes, perhaps more people take precautions now, but they should also be made to realize that it is not just about someone contracting the disease that will have to accept and adjust to the situation, but the people around them as well.
