If you look at the list of ARC related events, it is difficult to define whether or not these symptoms are HIV fueled, or if they are simply artifacts of aging.

Are there guidelines regarding age groups where these symptoms are most likely to indicate HIV infection?

It does not have any age identifiers but with the symptoms listed above it often acts just like a flu so most people pay it no mind. The only real way without being tested to know is that sometimes these symptoms such as fever and swelling of the lymph nodes do not go away right away and can last in some cases over 1 month

An interesting thing about thrush is it can occur, especially in babies, when no HIV infection is present!

That is very true. My oldest daughter had it as a baby and it was not fun for her at all.

This is interesting. A lot of these symptoms are hard to distinguish. Forgive my ignorance but what's Thrush?

How thick, I don't know - but it would be noticeable by the person it effects no doubt.

Thrush is a yeast infection that you get in your mouth. Mainly on your tongue but it can also be down in the throat as well. It usually affects babies, but anyone can get it. Especially if you have had any kind of major infection or have any kind of low immunity.
