Often, people develop allergies out of the blue. No one in their family has aver been allergic to what ever is causing the reaction, and there may have been other conditions thought to be unrelated as they kept asserting themselves.
Could a overreaction of one's immune system be a sign of ARC, as the body has already mounted its defenses in fighting HIV?
It could be possible, but anyone can develop allergies to anything at any time. So that would make it hard to pin something like that down. If a person is on any kind of medication they can develop allergies easier. I developed allergies to steroids as a teen from being given them too often. My mother developed an allergy to latex suddenly this last year, and because of her medications it seemed to just balloon into all kinds of allergies. Now she is allergic to styrofoam, nuts, red dye, latex, certain skin care products, all kinds of things that she was never allergic to all her life.
I am not sure what ARC is either? I do know your body can form allergies over time simply due to age. Milk is a good example, many women, especially those that have given birth, become lactose intolerant. Like mamatito33 was saying, taking some medicines repeatedly can cause you to become allergic to them or immune. Penicillin and certain anti-biotics if taken often will lose their effectiveness and my cause other allergic type issues. I would still like know what ARC stands for if anyone could help me on that?
