I heard a girl say that on a program that I was just watching she said " Don't leave it up to me to make the right choice for you." she was 19 and HIV positive and it really struck a cord for me.
So many people out there just hope and pray that the person who is HIV+ will do the right thing and use protection and that is almost never the case. Do you find it as frustrating as I do to see how many young and not so young people are just so careless with their lives?
Not just them for me it has always been so scary because I was so stupid when I was younger and it could have been me.
That's an intriguing remark -- don't leave it up to me, and I'm not really sure whether I should take it as a callous, tough like if you have sex with me, or as a warning that you just never know. It's a frightening statement in some ways. It's not a statement that gives a person hope, that's for sure. _________________ ==Go to your happy place!
I know when I was younger I didn't make good choices. I would like to believe that people living with HIV or AIDS would share that information but it all depends on that person's mind set and also if they even know they have it. It is sad and scary to think even with all the information out there, younger people and older ones still don't think to do common safety measures.
I agree it can be scary looking back for me as well. And as far as the comment I think the person who said it meant it more as a warning and a statement that your health is not their main concern it should be yours. I think about that and it is so true because millions of HIV sufferers are not even aware that they have it therefore they could not share that information with you.
i didn't always make great choices, but i also know that, well, i got tested. in other words, even in the late 80s early 90s when the word was just getting out, when i made decisions that were less than ideal, i knew there could be consequences
