Does anyone know if there's an ongoing foundation to support research honouring Freddie Mercury?

I have the Freddie Mercury tribute concert on DVD, but I don't think I've seen any information on it.

Not that I have heard of. Is Freddie Mercury the guy from Queen? Call me slow .. I never knew he had AIDS. I thought he died of a pneumonia. Question

Yes Freddie Mercury was Queen's front man. I'm sure he died of AIDS, but I'm not sure of the details. Maybe he died of pneumonia, because of AIDS?

I also believe that it wasn't made public knowledge that he had AIDS until after he died.

I'm sure much money's been raised in his name since his passing though, because of Queen's efforts.

Yup it was indeed cause by a pneumonia caused by AIDS or something like that. My cousin was a big Queen fan she told me he actually announced he had this disease the day before he passed.

he talked about it; i seem to remember it being long before he passed... but it could have been in a more limited way
