Senegal in West Africa has the lowest AIDS prevalence and the lowest level of cancers in the African continent. The link may be the highly selenium-enriched soil found in Senegal.

All i know about selenium is an antioxidant which eliminates free radicals in the body. As to its relationship on HIV, I haven't heard about this. But maybe...
