Just curious -- those in your circle, at home, at work, at various groups you frequent --- do you think you know who is dealing with HIV/Aids? This goes back to the stigma questions and how far we've come threads elsewhere. There was a period when everyone was super concerned about who they were with. Do we still? Have we really evolved? Do you know anyone with HIV/Aids, or are you just curious about it?

Fortunately for me, I've never had any close relative infected with HIV. Not that I knew of anyway. Neither have I ever been with anyone with HIV. Again none that I knew of.

As far as a I know, I can't think of any acquaintance who have AIDS or even in our family, which is a fortunate thing. But I am not discriminatory to those who have. In fact, I respect them and understand them...

i've had a number of close acquaintances with HIV and spent time sharing a hospital room with someone who had developed full-on AIDS and was not expected to live more than a few weeks.
