Are there certain things that happen more often than not to people who are HIV positive? Thank you for any feedback.

Enlarged lymph nodes, which are the glands in the neck, armpits, and groin area, are pretty common and are often overlooked until secondary symptoms like low grade fever, diarrhea, and weight loss become troublesome and cannot be treated successfully.

Well,

It pays to keep a level head about little things that might mean nothing. Someone would be easily to confused, and scared out of their wits if these symptoms appeared. Sometimes they indicate conditions other than an HIV infection.

Exactly, many of these symptoms mirror those of a common flu and cold. So it does pay to not get worked up over just the symptoms alone because chances are good that it is nothing more than the flu.

Keeping a level head and logically concluding that a visit to the doctor is necessary is the only way to be certain. If you have these symptoms, you should be tested. In the medical industry, professional diagnosis using accepted diagnostic methods is the only way to determine the truth.

Nobody has any disease or condition unless it is in the file. (According to doctors and insurance companies...)

IF you can opt for testing yourself privately, do it. Right now the medical community isn't under any pressure to divulge the information regarding who has been tested and who has tested positive, but that could change if the political atmosphere changes.

Avoid as many little "flags" on your personal information as you can!

I think everyone should be tested once in a while and more often if you think you are risky and need to.

I think if you are in doubt at all then you should see a doctor for a proper diagnosis, regardless of your symptoms. I think symptoms can vary form person to person.

That is true as some symptoms may appear as something else and each individual can show different signs.
