HIV symptoms

An HIV infection may develop symptoms. Those HIV symptoms are not a reliable test about your HIV state! The only reliable possibility to check your state is to do an HIV test. Generally, there are several types of HIV symptoms. The following are the most recent symptoms:

  • rapid weight loss
  • dry cough and shortness of breath
  • chronic-fatigue
  • swollen lymph nodes in the armpits, bar, or neck
  • spots on the tongue, mouth, the nose or on the eyelids
  • pneumonia
  • memory loss
  • lasting depression and other neurological disorders
  • The following sympztoms can be - in accordance with long-standing - also in connection with an HIV infection.

  • fever (longer than one month)
  • night sweat (longer than one month)
  • diarrhea (longer than one month)
  • Please ask your doc, if you seem to have one or more of these HIV symptoms. Attention: the appearance of these medical conditions mustn't mean, that you are HIV positive but can also be a hint for other diseases.
