Later HIV symptoms - AIDS

Every infection is unique. Hence, the following later HIV symptoms depend on the patient himself and the state and type of the HIV infection. These symptoms are commonly called the later symptoms of HIV:

  • rapid weight loss
  • dry cough and shortness of breath
  • chronic-fatigue
  • swollen lymph nodes in the armpits, bar, or neck
  • spots on the tongue, mouth, the nose or on the eyelids
  • pneumonia
  • memory loss
  • lasting depression and other neurological disorders

Please note, that some patients also show early hiv symptoms and some don't show any symptoms at all. Therefore, the only reliable method of getting your HIV state is to be testet against HIV antibodies. Please ask your doc for further information.
